34th Annual Model Systems Leadership Forum

Received an email the other day about an annual event that we sponsor.  Thought we would share it with you. Enjoy.

TIRR Memorial Hermann will be sponsoring the 34th Annual Model Systems Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Leadership Forum 2011 Wednesday, October 19 through Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Hotel ZaZa, 5701 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005 and on the TIRR campus, 1333 Moursund Avenue, Houston, TX 77030.

The Model Systems Leadership Forum draws PT and OT leaders from multiple prestigious rehabilitation centers throughout the United States and Canada. These centers currently hold, or have held, designation of “Model Systems of Spinal Cord Injury Care”. Well known centers include The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), The Shepherd Center of Atlanta, Craig Hospital of Denver, Kessler Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey, and Houston’s, TIRR Memorial Hermann.

Goals of the forum include:

  • To maintain an ongoing platform for exchange of administrative and educational information between facility leadership, and PT and OT who are affiliated with the specialized care of individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI).
  • To identify, review, and update present research efforts and provide a forum for research collaboration.
  • To discuss advances in clinical practice, durable medical equipment, and supplies for optimal care of the SCI client.

Annually, the forum is generously supported by companies like us, used by The Model Systems Centers.

Thanks for reading!
